Teaching
My approach to teaching grows directly from my own practice as an artist.
I believe art is not about creating the perfect image, but about learning to trust your own visual language — experimenting, making mistakes, exploring materials and discovering something that feels genuinely your own.
Over the years, I have worked with children and adults through private tuition, workshops and creative events. This developed further through NOMAD, the independent creative space I founded in Windsor, where teaching became an important extension of my studio practice.
Whether working with a young artist discovering paint for the first time or someone developing an established practice, my aim remains the same: to encourage curiosity, confidence and the freedom to create without being afraid of getting it wrong.
““Success is made from failures. So is art — from various attempts and mess.” ”
I don’t teach art as a formula to follow. I encourage students to look, question, experiment and trust their own instincts.
Technique can be learned, but individuality has to be protected. The most interesting work often begins when we stop worrying about getting it right
