✨ Seville — Where the Sun Speaks in Two Languages

Some cities don’t just shine — they shimmer with history, with heat, with heart. Seville is one of them.

☀️ Arrival in Andalusian Warmth

We arrived in mid-September, the air still glowing with Andalusian heat. Seville instantly felt alive — its rhythm somewhere between Arab poetry and Spanish flamenco.
The city’s soul carries a mix of Moorish, Christian, and Jewish heritage, shaped by centuries of change. You feel it everywhere — in the arches, the courtyards, the tiles that shimmer like jewels.

🏰 Walking Through Layers of History

We wandered through El Arenal, past the grand Cathedral of Seville, one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in the world — built over what was once a mosque, its Giralda Tower still echoing Moorish architecture.
Nearby, the General Archive of the Indies stood quietly magnificent, a reminder of Spain’s seafaring past and golden age of exploration.

🌿 The Royal Alcázar — A Palace of Legends

The palace that took our breath away was indeed the Royal Alcázar of Seville, a masterpiece of Mudejar architecture— where Islamic art met Christian rule.
Its intricate arabesque patterns, hand-painted tiles, and tranquil courtyards felt like walking inside a living mosaic.

Legend says the Alcázar was once the setting for royal love stories and secret meetings — a palace where each wall could whisper centuries of passion and power.

We sat for a while in the Alcázar Gardens, beneath the shade of orange trees, letting time slow down. Around us, fountains murmured and peacocks wandered — a quiet spell in the middle of the city.

🍮 Sweet Stops & Evening Walks

We found the most delicious pastel de nata at a small bakery (how could we resist?), wandered to Puente de Isabel II to watch the reflections of lights dance on the river at night, and had tapas at Ovejas Negras — lively, local, and unforgettable.

Seville is a city meant for walking — every corner rewards curiosity.

🍄 Setas de Seville — The City from Above

We found ourselves under the futuristic curves of the Setas de Seville (Metropol Parasol), its mushroom-like wooden structure floating above the old town.
The view from the top stretched endlessly — domes, towers, and sunlit rooftops.

💃 Flamenco, Fans & Evening Calm

From there, we explored the Plaza de España, where flamenco dancers brought the tiles to life. I couldn’t resist — I bought a Spanish fan, a little piece of Seville to take home.
The Maria Luisa Park walk led us all the way to Triana Casco Antiguo, where we ended the day with simple tapas and the hum of guitars drifting through the warm air.

Back at our hotel rooftop pool, we watched the city turn golden — its mix of old and new, Moorish and modern, quiet and alive all at once.

Seville lingers — in the shimmer of its tiles, the echo of a guitar, the slow heartbeat of a city that never forgets its past.
